Meet Nancy Clark, Painter and Designer

Nancy Clark has been a resident of Pensacola, FL for over 25 years.  She has been painting since she was a very young girl.  Her mother, Iva E. Clark, bought the first paints, drawing pads, and pens for Nancy to encourage her painting and designing.  Iva Clark grew flowers, and painted flowers which were life-like.  She also drew which was a motivator for Nancy.  Iva taught young Nancy to make her paintings as if they were alive.  Nancy learned to add the silver and gold to reflect light.  Nancy says, "God made the flowers glow with light."  She makes unique, one of a kind, hand painted and handmade greeting cards and note cards.

Nancy started designing and painting on blank greeting cards to cheer her mother.  Iva Clark lived to the age of 90, so I hope my friend, Nancy Clark will have many more years to bring cheer through her handpainted greeting cards using the flower designs.

When Nancy isn't painting, she enjoys designing clothing, sewing, taking care of Scooter (her 4-1/2 year old Shelty mix pet), and singing.  Nancy has been singing for at least as long as she has been painting, maybe longer.  She and her mother sang trios with Nancy's older sister.  Nancy has a wonderful singing voice.  If I can find a way, I want to be able to allow you to hear her wonderful Soprano voice.  When she sings, you just know the angels are listening.  That's the only way I can describe what her voice does to me.

Royal Purple Roses Lily of the Valley           Earlier I mentioned that Nancy has a dog named Scooter.  I can tell you many wonderful stories about Scooter, but the one I'll share right now is how Scooter became Nancy's dog.  My husband and I lived in Pensacola, FL.  We had 2 dogs at the time, Harry and Scooter.  When we decided to move to Bradenton, FL, we couldn't bring both of our dogs.  It was one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make.  Nancy loved both dogs as well.  The deciding factor was that Harry is a "mommy's dog" and Scooter was much more attached to Nancy.  And now Scooter is a "happy dog" just like our Harry and the "apple" of her mommy's eye.  Nancy, thank you for being such a loving & caring friend.
