Miss Dot's New Project
Week of 12/3/07 - Pet sweaters!
Teddy Bear models Pet Sweater I'm always ready to try something new. My friend, Marsha B has 3 "babies". She would like to have Mardi Gras sweaters for them, soooooooo here's my first attempt. It was wonderful fun. Come back & see what I intend to do with the sweaters next.
Week of 8/12/07 - Brim with a Curl
Brimmed Hat with a Twist Ever since I started wearing The Hat I have been trying to figure out a way to crochet a hat like it...and I've finally done it with the help of my friend, DJ in France! I'm making this style using Red Heart Soft Yarn which is 100% Acrylic, made in Turkey or Caron Perfect Match 100% Acrylic, made in the USA. The Red Heart Guacamole hat gets instant raves, but I've received requests for the Caron Perfect Match Peach hat as well. Both yarns are washable and dryable - Cool to low heat.
Fun Cap Teddy and I are wearing our new "Fun Caps". I'm getting the horse before the cart! I'm having so much fun trying out new patterns that I almost forgot to tell you about this cap.
The pattern for this Fun Cap came from the label of a Lily Sugar'n Cream wrapper. This cap takes me a little less than two hours from start to finish. The yarn is easy to work with, but the pattern is written in very small print. That's what reading glasses are for, so my pair is getting quite a work-out. This cap uses the same yarn as the dish cloths I crochet, so I can make caps out of any color that this yarn comes in.
Crocheted Hat with Brim
Crocheted Hat with Brim I saw a lady wearing a hat like this. She let me take a closer look at her hat. When I went home I made this hat! Can you tell that I really like my new hat? It's fun to make and easy to do. The hatband is just a red yarn chain & tied in a bow in the back! Just wait until you see the variations I make for this hat as you make it yours! We think it - we can do it! Click on the picture to order your brimmed hat!
Look what I've done to the Hat Suggestion - add a logo to get the tourist attention! Got the idea from Mr. Ted Adams, the Special Events Coordinator at Manatee Village Historical Park. They will be having an Arts & Craft Fair in the Village on Sat, October 13, 2007 - 10am to 2pm! Free to crafters. Just bring your own table/display. You can contact Mr. Adams for more details - 941-749-7165.
